Everything you might want to know before reaching out — how the process works, what it costs, and what to expect.
Mission Control is a structured, practical approach to psychotherapy and coaching focused on helping you develop greater control over your thoughts, emotions, habits, and responses under pressure.
Rather than showing up to therapy without a clear direction, we work from a plan. Each program has a beginning, middle, and end, with specific goals and practical tools along the way.
The first session is about understanding what's happening, identifying what you want to change, and developing a clear direction.
We'll discuss the circumstances bringing you in, relevant patterns, and what may be getting in the way. From there, we'll determine what the work should focus on.
You don't need to have everything figured out before you arrive.
You don't need to figure that out on your own.
We'll look at what you're dealing with, what you want to change, and how much support is appropriate before deciding on a program. Our programs are designed around three levels of support:
No.
Mission Control uses structured programs rather than assuming therapy needs to continue indefinitely. We establish what you're working toward, determine what support makes sense, and review your progress along the way.
Some people need focused support around one issue. Others benefit from more time to understand and change deeper patterns.
Both are available, depending on what you need.
Psychotherapy is available to Ontario residents and focuses on mental health concerns such as anxiety, anger, relationship difficulties, stress, and insomnia.
Coaching is available more broadly across North America and focuses on areas such as performance, discipline, habits, leadership, and personal development.
If you're unsure which is right for you, we can help you determine the best starting point.
No.
Talking is part of the process, but it isn't the whole process.
Mission Control is intentionally practical. Depending on your goals, sessions may involve identifying patterns, challenging unhelpful thinking, practicing communication skills, learning emotional regulation strategies, changing habits, or developing specific tools for handling pressure differently.
The goal isn't simply to understand yourself better. It's to help you respond differently.
My work draws primarily from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
For specific concerns, I also use specialized approaches such as CBT for anger management and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I).
The approach is selected based on what you're working on rather than forcing every client into the same model.
That depends on your goals and the program you're completing.
Most clients benefit from meeting consistently enough to maintain momentum while also having time between sessions to apply what we're working on.
Your schedule and recommended frequency will be discussed during your initial session.
Mission Control offers both individual sessions and structured programs.
Programs include a reduced per-session investment as a reflection of your commitment to the process.
No.
You can begin with an individual session or a Strategy Session and determine the appropriate next step from there.
If a structured program makes sense, we'll discuss which option best fits your goals.
Programs are designed to provide enough time to work toward meaningful change, but circumstances can change.
Program terms, including cancellation, discontinuation, and session usage, are explained before enrollment so you know what to expect.

Eligibility for psychotherapy services depends on your location and applicable professional requirements.
That's okay.
The goal isn't to convince everyone to work with us. It's to determine whether the service is appropriate for what you're looking for.
If your needs fall outside the scope of Mission Control, we'll be honest about that and help point you toward a more appropriate resource when possible.

You don't need to have the whole mission figured out before you begin.
